Autotronix boasts some of the country's foremost experts in the fields of PLC Automation & Control, Energy Management and Telemetry/Data Acquisition, including RF telemetry, who have not only engineered solutions, but also designed both hardware and software for diverse applications. Many of these in daily use have been running for 20 years.

The team has extensive experience in SCADA configuration (all popular packages) and will also develop custom applications using other tools such as Visual Basic, Microsoft Access, C++ etc.

Networking of PLC's and other equipment has become a major strength of the company and many of the larger projects now feature fibre-optic based Ethernet LANs connecting Mitsubishi PLC's, SCADA and other systems together. In addition, Autotronix has extensive experience in radio based networking in diverse industries, including Eskom's mission critical rural reticulation scheme using pole-mounted Remote Terminal Units.

The company also develops large Energy Management Systems, distributed over wide geographic areas such as found in the mining industry. To complement certain systems projects, Autotronix also designs and builds special interfaces to board level where necessary to support machine refurbishment and other projects.
